The Black Abbott was once a monk of Dakoth-Kuru, a ancient sect of sorcerers dating back to the days of HYDRA's original rise to power, that had managed to use their teachings to unlock the full potential of their minds, giving them incredible mental powers. The Black Abbot was the strongest of his peers, having the ability to control the several others and take control of the entire brotherhood. 

After HYDRA's massive losses (minus the forces controlled by the Red Skull), Black Abbott pledged himself into the services of the sorcerous crime-lord known as The Hood, who was recruiting super criminals for his growing criminal organization.

Powers and Abilities

• Magic Manipulation: The Black Abbott can manipulate the mystic arts to produce a number of mental and energy based abilities, including:
  • Telepathy
  • Low-Range Mental Control: He can control many subjects at once, and in the process, they act as near-duplicates of him, in speech and thinking.

  • Telekinesis
  • Energy Blasts: The Black Abbott can project a sort of energy from his hands that can reduce a living human into nothing but ash.
