The Mole Man/Harvey Elder by Strib
Doctor Harvey Rupert Elder, otherwise known as the Mole Man, was a former nuclear engineer and explorer, shunned by most of society for his abrasive personality and homely, dwarfish appearance.
Angered by his mistreatment, Elder retreated into a subterranean cave in Carlsbad Caverns and began conducting biological experiments to create new life from the lizards, insects and bats that lived in the caves with him. HYDRA intended to recruit him for their plans, but the Avengers beat them to him and decided to leave him alone in peaceful solitude.
